Real wood engraving – not a print!

A piece of silver birch bark burnt forever with your message and framed in a white 18x18cm (7×7″)frame or black 15cmx10cm (4×6″) frame.

These make a beautiful personalised gift and are completely unique.

The bark is collected from fallen trees. Although birch bark can be collected from live trees it can leave them vulnerable to disease. Once collected the bark is thoroughly cleaned and then soaked for a number days to soften it. The birch is then flattened in a press and left to dry for a week. The bark is then cut to size and burnt with the message of your choice. Luckily I have pre-prepared the bark, so you do not have to wait too long for the gift.
